Caring for children with disabilities is a considerable amount of responsibility; not to mention financially costly to a family. The Canadian Benefit Union offers financial relief in the service of Child Disability Benefit. The Child Disability Benefit is an additional supplement to the Disability Tax Credit.
The federal government provides direct support for raising a disabled child. The value of the financial benefit depends upon the parent/s reported income and the number of children in your care.
However, not all children with disabilities are qualified—only those with severe and prolonged physical or mental impairment. The federal government determines the dollar amount your child is entitled to receive each month using a formula involving the size of your household and your total monthly income.
The Canadian Benefit Union provides this service for minors under the age of 18 years old. With the child disability benefits, our clients with children are able to use this financial benefit income to help provide the proper support, education, and cost in raising a child with a disability.
